Last week, we had the pleasure of entertaining our 7-year old granddaughter, Jayden. I call her Jaydie Bug or Buggie.
Since Granny T had to go to work everyday, I got to do most of the entertaining. We went to the movies a couple of times, out to eat, to the library, the spray park, the pool and the trampoline park.
Hayley really enjoyed having a tiny playmate all week as well.
Let me just say that you haven’t lived until you have debated about who the biggest hater is on the tween, soap opera about three girls who are mermaids. Yes, mermaids. It was also cool to experience her watching James and the Giant Peach for the first time.
We had a great week full of laughs, stories and chocolate waffles. Yum!
We spent quite a bit of time in the car.
We watched plenty of Netflix, PBS and read some books.
There was a trip to the doctor; for me, not her.
And plenty of Granny T love.
And there was Blue Friday…
What a great (tiring) week! I can’t wait to do it again; maybe Christmas or spring break.

These are my children. Though birthed by my wife, they are mine. I couldn’t love them more if I had given them life. They are wonderful and loving and I am blessed to have them in my life. Plus, they have given me grandbabies! I am so grateful for my family.
I have been wallowing in my circumstances; healing from my eye surgery, all of the time I’ve had to take off of work, bills and health. Not complaining, just allowing things to consume my thoughts…alot!
You see, I am loathe to go do anything because I can’t really see beyond a few inches in front of my face and that makes me feel anxious and unsafe. Plus, I feel guilty going to do stuff but I’m not going to work. I realize though that I can only do what I can do. Without correction, I can’t do my job. That doesn’t mean that I have to stop living life.
My honey decided that I needed a mental health weekend so we grabbed one of the grandbabies (our only local one) and headed to the ocean. I have to say that I am glad I went because it was just what I needed.
These two lovelies had birthdays! Our daughter Megan and granddaughter Jayden.

Happy Mother’s Day to this gorgeous woman. I am so grateful that God chose her as the vessel to bring me life. She is my best friend, a great hugger and…let’s just say I could go on forever about my Mommy.
Happy Mother’s Day to my wife and bestie. Parenting with you is AWESOME!
We had our annual Mother’s Day brunch at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Tacoma. Its always a good time.
