Just Call Me Granny

One of our grand babies came to stay with us for her Spring Break.
We picked her up last weekend and got to play Easter Bunny.

We’ve Only Just Begun…

ImageI can hardly believe it but after just over a month,it is coming to the time when JaLisa will be leaving us and heading back home to the west side of the mountains. I am already missing her even though she’s not gone. Having her here has helped me remember how much I love to laugh and how much fun a day off can be. I can’t say that we do anything special when we are together when we hang out; its just being together and finding the humor in EVERYTHING!!

JaLisa has always been funny. Even as a baby, she could do something that would have you laughing about it all day long. She has a quick smile and she is not afraid to use it. It’s like a weapon of peace that, when deployed, can diffuse the angriest of authority figures. I guess it’s a good thing that she chooses to use her powers for good.

Having her here has definitely been an adjustment. Having four women and one bathroom can be quite a challenge but we have managed. She has been a great help with things around the house like doing dishes, cooking, making sure the trash goes out each week and just doing her best to be helpful in general. Any parent would appreciate that.

She came here on a mission of self-improvement and self-discovery and has come so far on her jouirney. I have to say that we are very proud of her for the things that she has accomplished, the young woman she has become and how much room she has given herself to grow into so much more. I can hardly wait to see what is to come.
